Farewell

Hi there,

After a lot of thought, I've made the difficult decision to close down MYO Magic. I can no longer justify the ongoing cost of running it — and, happily, I don't think I need to. Yoto has refreshed their Make Your Own experience and built in many of the very features MYO Magic was created to provide. You can read their announcement here.

I hope you'll find everything you need on Yoto's Make Your Own website. And if you're looking for something more, please consider Stuart Ashworth's wonderful MYO Studio.

I poured my heart into this project — truly. As a mom, a software engineer, and a huge fan of Yoto, I've loved building MYO Magic, both for my own family and for all the other families, teachers, caregivers, and curious individuals from every walk of life who came here looking for a way to bring free and low-cost audio to their Yoto MYO cards. This little world can feel a bit overwhelming at first, and it's been such a joy to watch so many of you learn it and truly make it your own.

Finally, a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who cheered this project on, helped cover its running costs, and sent kind messages of support. You made it all worth it.
